Limited to 1000 copies. Poison Idea's notoriously brief, punishing debut was released in 1983, a few years after the band formed in Portland, Oregon. Thirteen songs in sixteen minutes. Obviously, not a second wasted. At this juncture, the band consisted of founder and enormous frontman Jerry A., guitarist Tom Roberts – later to be rechristened Pig Champion, due to his porcine build – bassist Chris Tense, and drummer Dean Johnson. Already, Jerry A. sang like a man in the middle of a heart attack, bellowing furiously, frighteningly. In other words, the template was being created for albums to follow. With Pick Your King – a reference to Elvis and Jesus – Poison Idea helped establish the paradigm for aggressive American hardcore punk. - 9417792C *** In Stock In Our Crouch End Shop ***RELEASE DATE: 27\/11\/2026 - PRE-ORDER - This title is available for pre-order and will be sent out to arrive on the release date, which may be subject to change.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Flashback Records","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":58630518047103,"sku":"9417792 1215406 C","price":34.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0622\/4576\/5282\/files\/lFB417792.jpg?v=1791306067","url":"https:\/\/flashback.co.uk\/products\/poison-idea-pick-your-king-417792","provider":"Flashback Records","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
