Many of the songs draw directly from life in Korea. “Extinction” reflects on the pressures and impossibilities of modern Korean society, while “Red” takes inspiration from a Korean medicinal candy before opening into something much broader. Throughout the album, distinctly local experiences become starting points for stories that feel universal.
