DESCRIPTION - Reissue of The Cure's fourth studio album, "Pornography" (1982). This was the band's first album with new producer Phil Thornalley, and it was preceded by the non-album single "Charlotte Sometimes." The band was on the verge of breaking up during the sessions, with heavy drug use, band infighting, and frontman Robert Smith's depression fueling the album's musical and lyrical content. The Cure's early dark, gloomy musical phase, which began with their second album "Seventeen Seconds," comes to an end with "Pornography."
